The following is the most likely sequence in our transcription process.
A practitioner can dictate using many methods such as phone-in dictation (dialing a toll-free number) or handheld digital recorders (Olympus, Philips, Sony, etc.), PDA devices (Pocket PC) or PC application running on your provider's Windows PC.
Once the dictations are received by the provider, they are distributed to the MT pool for transcription.
Finished transcriptions are uploaded by the provider back to the doctors' offices through a secure FTP connection and can be downloaded by the office staff. Alternatively the documents could be faxed directly to the office or perhaps even emailed to the doctor's personal email address as desired.
